Isso deixou a 2K e a Turtle Rock Studios extremamente empolgadas com a novidade. Phil Robb, cofundador e diretor criativo da Turtle Rock Studios, declarou que eles estão empolgados com a recepção positiva de Evolve tem recebido tanto dos críticos quanto dos jogadores na gamescom. Segundo ele, “Vencer o melhor jogo do evento na E3 e na gamescom no mesmo ano é muito emocionante”.
Ele também deixou claro que a equipe da Turtle Rock Studios está criando uma experiência completa e especial com esse jogo e que tudo isso será incrível, único e envolvente na nova geração.
